Testing in warm-weather conditions eventually led to Hydrogen, a buttery-soft microfiber that’s blended with Lycra to deliver a light compressive hold along the foot, ankle, and lower leg using a seamless construction. From there they targeted the arch, wrapping it with a ribbed band of airy mesh for further support and boosted breathability, along with a contrasting band along the Achilles for a clean finish.

Lightly insulated cycling socks for the cool, low-light days of early spring and late fall. The transitional seasons are defined by cool weather—a symptom of shorter, often overcast days. These socks combine light insulation and a prominent photoluminescent stripe to help keep your feet warm and your legs visible to other road users, flashing light through your pedal stroke. The latest version of shieldKnit yarn is aesthetically updated, but its abrasion-resistant fibers across the cuff, heel, and toe return unchanged—and remain undaunted by trail abuse. Textile research led us to innovations in cooling, durability, and increased comfort-the three main priorities for summer cycling equipment at high-wear touchpoints. We also managed to reduce the weight by 25% compared to our previous summer gloves. An overall increase in breathability and cooling reduces internal friction and irritation from lingering moisture while ensuring the inevitable perspiration of summer cycling doesn't interfere with a secure grip on the hoods.

Tactile feedback, lightweight protection, and overall comfort were the primary focal points of the Equipe RS Aero FF gloves, each of which has been addressed through careful textile development and patterning. The streamlined “no wrinkle” silhouette comes courtesy of seven individual panels that have been cut to form a curved 3D shape, mimicking the intricate anatomical structure of the human hand as it grips the bars. At the back of the hands Assos applied their Breezer Tex, an ultralight woven fabric with mesh-like structure, which promotes breathability and delivers an ultrasoft feel. Strategically positioned pads on the palm, wrapped in perforated synthetic leather, deliver light support and protection, without blocking necessary feedback from the bar. Extreme, insulated protection for extreme weather, the Ultraz Glove is the ultimate platform for weatherproof cycling when time off the bike isn't an option.
