The fast get faster with the evolution of Assos' Equipe SS Jersey. Precise patterning and sharp finishing details deliver the next generation of speed and race-ready comfort. To begin, they applied their proven circular knit miniCheck Tex, which is a highly elastic 3D knit fabric that’s been specifically developed with breathability and moisture transfer in mind. At the rear, they incorporated their Stabilizer textile, which secures the jersey with its limited vertical-stretch composition. The aggressive position speed-focused riders take also informed the material choice for the new raw + bonded sleeves, yoke, and pockets, which needed to be as buttery smooth and flexible as possible. Assos' fine-gauge warp knit Push Pull textile was just the ticket, providing high UV protection (UPF 50+) along with its quick-drying, bi-stretch properties. Beyond the more precise aeroFit patterning, additional purpose-driven details also contribute to increased speed and comfort. This is a modern interpretation of the wind shell jacket, the one you keep in your pocket for a long descent or put on for the first hour of the ride until the day warms up. That jacket used to be a simple affair — a nylon shell — but the lack of stretch meant that it had to be cut on the generous side to fit all body shapes, both on and off the bike. We've completely reimagined what the shell jacket should be and how it's constructed. We've added panels on the sides and the sleeves in a very high-stretch yet tightly knit fabric that allows us to give the jacket a modern, close-to-body fit for aero gains on any terrain, and it actually keeps more heat in than a jacket that's flapping about. We've kept it very compact so that it can pack away into minimal space in a jersey pocket. Bib tights engineered with flexible insulation and our signature MILLE Insert to ensure comfortable support in challenging winter conditions. Warmth, flexibility, protection, and support topped our list of must-haves when we began developing the Winter Bib Tights, and each attribute needed to pair with our refined, low-bulk regularFit platform. We made them lightly compressive where they need to be, but not as tight as our racingFit design. The fabric panels flex with each pedal stroke, as they're both pre-shaped and sewn to fully wrap and support the upper leg muscles, knees, and calves while in motion. RX Heavy makes up the majority of the paneling. This brushed warp-knit fabric is a beefed-up version of our workhorse RX, featuring an ECO water-repellent treatment for further protection from light precipitation. Its lighter-weight sibling, RX Light, is an asymmetrical-stretch warp-knit fabric that provides light insulation and boosts comfort in high-flex areas. The fit falls into our regularFit category, optimized for total comfort in the riding position, and with a more relaxed cut than our second skin racingFit.

The ideal tight for most of your winter riding, the Velocissimo is focused on comfort for riding in mild to cool conditions. We've used our Thermoflex fabric for most of the tight. It's not our warmest fabric, nor does it repel water like Nano Flex, but it is the softest, stretchiest winter tight fabric. The comfort is immediate and lasting. For the lower leg from just below the knee, we switch to our Nano Flex fleeced stretch-woven fabric that's both warm and highly water repellent for protection against spray coming off wet roads. It's also highly stretchy, and we leave a raw edge so we can construct the ankles without zippers while making sure the tight remains easy to put on and take off. This glove was designed for long-distance rides, with extra padding in the palm and premium materials throughout.
